Europe’s Leading Public-Private Partnership for Cloud

The Helix Nebula Initiative is a partnership between industry, space and science to establish a dynamic ecosystem, benefiting from open cloud services for the seamless integration of science into a business environment. Today, the partnership counts over 40 public and private partners.

Stichting EGI

Stichting EGI was established as a Dutch Foundation ‐ an independent legal entity – in February 2010 and is located at the Science Park in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Its main objective is to coordinate pan‐European distributed computing activity within Europe on behalf of its stakeholders (National Grid Initiatives ‐ NGIs, European Intergovernmental Research Organisations ‐ EIROs, and others).

In the Helix Nebula - The Science Cloud project, EGI.eu developed the integration and interoperation roadmap between public e-infrastructures and commercial cloud computing.
