Europe’s Leading Public-Private Partnership for Cloud

The Helix Nebula Initiative is a partnership between industry, space and science to establish a dynamic ecosystem, benefiting from open cloud services for the seamless integration of science into a business environment. Today, the partnership counts over 40 public and private partners.

Global positioning and satellite navigation systems, as well as space-based telecommunications systems and earth, ocean and atmosphere observation and surveillance, know no frontier other than those imposed by their own technological limits.

The household budget for the next 7 years was presented. The conference discussed how the EU and ESA can work together in the future and stressed that:
- Multidisciplinarity should be considered a key element in the research arena
- Funding of the Galileo and Copernicus programmes need to be secured
The Helix Nebula flyer was distributed to the 600 attendees.
